Prayer of the Week and News from Holy Spirit Parish/Fr Arsenio
PRAYER OF THE WEEK
Dear Parents,
Thanks to all who have been able to attend their child's First Reconciliation, at short notice. Last week on the 10th March, 3/4MO celebrated their Rite of Forgiveness and on the 17th March 3/4DF celebrated their Rite of Forgiveness. It was wonderful that we were able to gather together for this special part of your child's faith journey. The children were so nervous before the ceremony and you could certainly see them relax once they had been to speak to Father Arsenio. Here is a reading that was read by one of the students at the celebration.
A reading from the letter of Paul to the Colossians
Brothers and Sisters;
God loves you and has chosen you as His own special people.
Be gentle, kind, humble, meek, and patient.
Put up with each other, and forgive anyone who does you wrong, just as Christ has forgiven you.
Love is more important than anything else.
It is what ties everything completely together.
The Word of the Lord
Thanks be to God.
RECONCILIATION
Congratulations to 3/4CM who were presented with their Reconciliation certificates at assembly last week.

Should there be “walk ups” at any of the services and no seats are available, there will be the option of sitting/standing outside on the asphalt with 1.5 metre distancing. We need help with each of the services, so if you are able please add your name on the sign up sheets and a member of the Liturgy team will be in touch. We also need help with setting up on Saturday 27th March from 8.30 am for about an hour.
Reconciliation – Fr Arsenio will be available to hear individual confessions in the Chapel on Saturday 27th March from 10-11 am and Wednesday 31st March from 7-8 pm. There will be no traditional Rite of Forgiveness this year.
