SPEECH PATHOLOGY AT ST JAMES
Throughout the year our Speech Pathologist Adele has been working with children across the school in small groups and 1:1. She is targeting a range of speech and language skills. These typically include speech sound errors, grammatical errors as well as oral and written communication.
In the coming weeks, Adele will begin working with the Foundation students, as part of a collaborative approach to identify students who may benefit from speech and language support early next year.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AT ST JAMES
Our Occupational Therapist Bronwyn continues to work with teachers and students in developing the use of regulation strategies. She continues to support students in managing social and emotional learning.
Bronwyn also continues to liaise with staff in order to refine our fine motor and gross motor programs. She is working in classrooms to model fine motor activities. We then analyse work samples, to better support our students.
