Coming this December, the 3rd to be exact, is the most anticipated event of the St James PA calendar year, the annual PARENTS PARTY!!!!

Get your Wimbledon whites out (or your interpretation of this theme), and join us for what is going to be a fantastic event to reconnect as a parent community, enjoy a relaxed beverage and BBQ in our Wimbledon inspired beer garden, and celebrate the end of the 2021 year!

St James KAHOOT

Family Trivia Night

The St James community are holding a family kahoot night run by our fabulous Year 6 Kahoot Team, to raise money for the year 6 gradutaion. The event will be on Thursday the 25th of November at 7pm. The cost will be $10 per family everyone may participate.

The usual online meet rules will apply and the link will be sent closer to the day. The trybooking link for entries will close on Wednesday the 24th of November. The kahoot will run for approximately 45mins-1hr. There will be 50 questions, the top 4 winners will receive a prize. The prizes will be revealed in next week's newsletter.

How kahoots work:

A kahoot is an online quiz game, the questions will be multiple choice. Players answer on their own devices, while questions are displayed on a shared screen via a google meet. Families will need a device to see the question on and another device to answer on eg a phone or tablet, families can either play separately on their own device or together on one device. You will need to enter a pin code to play the game. Each question will have a limited number of time to answer.

We really hope to see as many families participating in the Kahoot, to make the year 6 graduation as fun as possible,

St James Dads Movie Night - IS BACK BABY !

Ladies & Gentlemen

A long long time ago…. you signed up for our inaugural St James Dads Movie Night. Covid reared its head and thwarted us. We rebooted, only to have our hopes dashed once again.

This time we are back and we mean Business…..!

Space Jam has sadly come and gone, but in its place we now have:

The Boss Baby: Family Business | Movies | Palace Cinemas

Venue: Dendy Palace Cinema,26 Church St, Brighton

Date: Friday 26th November, just as this movie hits the big screen.

Start time: TBC the week of the show, but likely to commence at 6.00pm or 6.30pm.

The venue can only allow admission to those that are vaccinated against Covid-19 or hold an exemption. Evidence will be required upon entry. (This is not applicable to guests under the age of 16).

If you no longer wish to attend due to the change of movie, the date, Covid restrictions etc, please email me directly by the 12th November so I can request a credit for you from Palace Cinemas.

I know the kids were really looking forward to going to the cinema together and after the year they have had, I am sure they will be busting to finally get the opportunity !

Our annual Very Merry Christmas Market is back again this year on Wednesday 1 December.This year's market is being held at a new location: St Andrew's Church Gardens, New Street, Brighton (Cnr New & Church St)Also new this year is our very first Art exhibition, where a portion of artwork sold will be generously donated to RCDF.

The day's festivities will be split over two sessions: Morning 9am-2pm

SUMMER TENNIS CLINIC

ELSTERNWICK CRICKET CLUB

We are seeking to form a partnership with St James Primary School with interested students and families. We will be fielding the following relevant teams in season 2021/22:

Under 13 Girls only
Under 12 boys
Rookies 8-10 year old girls and boys
Master Blasters 7-10 year old girls and boys
Junior Blasters 5-7 year old girls and boys

Registrations are currently open on our website (http://elsternwickcc.vic.cricket.com.au/) but we would be more than happy for anybody interested to contact us should they have any queries or require any further information.

No previous experience playing cricket is required and our focus will be on participation, skill development and fun.

As an aside, Cricket Australia offers a terrific school ambassador program which provides access to the curriculum resources, a free equipment kit for completing a 4 week program and a BBL shirt for signing up to the school cup.
