Music program takes to the road.....

What an absolute buzz! After nearly two years of on again, off again computer learning, finally our students are once more connecting with real live audiences. Over three days the Bairnsdale Secondary College Strings and Senior Concert Band gave concerts at eight primary schools and the reception at all eight schools was wonderful.

Instrumental Music Rap Up

The Instrumental Music program has completed the year on a very high note. Wednesday’s Summer Concert was extremely well attended. All the school’s ensembles performed, this coming off the back of a three-day tour of local primary schools by the string students and senior concert band. 

As exhausted musicians go off on holiday, I would like to remind them that their instruments work well at home, holidays being an ideal time to practise and experiment with new pieces. 

I would like to acknowledge the commitment and dedication of our Instrumental Music Team. They work very hard to ensure their best for the students, inspiring them to reach their goals and prepare our ensembles to a very high standard.

2022 will bring new and exciting challenges to the instrumental music program at Bairnsdale SC. We wish everyone the very best and a well deserved Christmas break
