Australian Geography Competition

2021 Results

As part of our Geography program, selected students from Years 8-12 participated in the 2021 Australian Geography Competition. Approximately 80,000 students from 800 schools around Australia took part this year. 

 

Oxley students performed well above the national average in the categories of applying and reasoning. Overall, each year level finished comfortably above the national average. This year, our students have achieved some remarkable results. Of special mention are the following expert geographers:

My thanks go out to all students who participated, and to our dedicated Geography teachers who helped to facilitate the competition – Mr Bird, Mrs Doblin, Mr Smith and Mrs Woodcock. I know all our teachers are looking forward to 2022 and the return of the many practical learning activities that make Geography such an interesting and vital subject.
