Year 12 Final Day House Competition

It was yet another close finish between two Houses to determine the winner of this year’s Year 12 Final Day competition. With a difference of only six points, Gibeon Warriors (Red House) was crowned the winner with 286 points followed by Zion Crusaders (Blue House) in second place with 280 points and Tabor Trojans (White House) in third place with 249 points.

The Year 12 Final Day Competition kicked off this year on Tuesday 19 October with the Year 12s competing in their Houses against each other. This was followed last week by the rest of the Senior School with the Year 7s on Monday 15 November, the Year 8s on Tuesday, Year 9s on Wednesday and Years 10 and 11 on Thursday. A group of Year 12s returned to school on Thursday to finish the day with the all-important Basketball match between Years 11 and 12. Both teams gave it their all, but the Year 12s managed to take the honours with a final winning score of 31, with Year 11 on 23.

It was great to uphold this very important Oxley tradition by getting the whole Senior School involved in the Year 12 Final Day Competition, even though it looked very different again this year from our traditional Year 12 Final Day Competition.

Our students had the opportunity to represent their House by rotating between Basketball, Table Tennis, Indoor Hockey and Indoor Soccer. There was a great atmosphere from students in all year levels with students eagerly stepping-up to represent their Houses in all competitions. Below is a table of the results by year level.

Congratulations to all students who represented their Houses. A big thank you to all the staff and students for making this a memorable competition. The combined efforts of everyone made this a most enjoyable and successful competition from when it started with the Year 12s in October till we finished on Thursday 18 November.

Finally, I wish all the Year 12 students God’s greatest blessings for their future endeavours.
