We say goodbye to another exciting and full of creativity year in the Arts and Design Faculty.

In the past few weeks, Senior School students have transitioned into their 2022 VCE classes, setting themselves for success in their VCE studies next year. This is usually a challenging task for students, as they have to write analyses of others works using subject-specific language in their writing. Students also have to get used to the subject based processes of creating and presenting works.

In Middle School, students have enjoyed Drama and Visual Arts activities as part of their transition programs, bringing a lot of fun and excitement to the school.

Junior School students are soon presenting to the public their Christmas Concert, showcasing a series of festive songs and carols. Please check the school social media pages for access to the shared link next week.

Over the holidays, the Arts and Design Faculty suggest some of the following activities that will help develop artful and creative thinking:

Also, don’t forget that access to the permanent exhibitions in NGV, ACMI, NGV Ian Potter Gallery and Arts Centre exhibitions is free, so why not make a day out of it over the school holidays?

Enjoy the festive season, Christmas, New Year and school holidays… and -of course- stay creative!
