The Arrowsmith Program

WAYNE STAGG

Head of the Arrowsmith Program

The Arrowsmith Program celebrated the end of classes and the year with our final presentation on Friday, 26 November.

We farewelled the following students; Fred Philp, Mackenzie Arkell, Angus Zaitzev, Nicholas Haritos and Angus Coco. Their time in the program, development and growth as a learner was presented in a speech by their respective teachers, Mrs Helen Gilinas and Mrs Dora Papadakis. Further speeches highlighting student outcomes and program success were made by the Head of Arrowsmith, Mr Wayne Stagg and Oakleigh Grammar Principal, Mr Mark Robertson.

In 2022, the program will continue as we welcome new students and families, eager to see the changes the Arrowsmith Program can deliver.

My thanks to the Arrowsmith staff; Helen Gilinas, Dora Papadakis, Nathan Neilson and Trina Angelatos for their passion, enthusiasm and commitment to making this program work. The results of their efforts are seen in the outcomes for our students.

To the Arrowsmith parents. Thank you for staying the course in what has been two difficult years of learning for our students and added pressures on families.

Finally, to all the Arrowsmith students: ‘Learn from yesterday. Live for today. Hope for tomorrow.’

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone involved in the Arrowsmith Program.
