All students from K-6 will be treated to an ice cream on Wednesday at snack break to say thank you for their efforts this year and patience with the Covid-19 restrictions at school.
Students are collecting lots of raffle tickets over the last few weeks for their great behaviour following our Live Well, Learn Well program. Teachers are giving out lucky tickets to any students who they see following the policy both in and out of the classroom. These go into a lucky draw each week for a block of chocolate and then all tickets are collected and go into the major draw at the end of term where 2 lucky students can win a big prize.
There is one last Year 6 transition into the Secondary Department to go. This will be held next Friday. Over the last few weeks, students have met some of the teachers, tried out new subjects and learnt where classrooms and facilities are located.
Year 5 and 6 will be going on a day trip next week. The students will be kayaking and bushwalking at Lake Inverell and having a BBQ lunch in the park. The dates for these day trips are:
The cost will be $40 per student and this includes the hire of the kayak and safety equipment, trained guides (along with teacher and aide supervision) and a BBQ lunch. The students will also be learning about their local environment, its wildlife and the importance of protecting and looking after it. Covid safe rules will be adhered to at all times during this excursion.
If you would like your child to attend this excursion please, return the note and money by Friday, 26 November. If you have any questions or concerns about the excursion or payment please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Dal Santo or Mrs Rainger on 67224066.

The annual end of year presentation will be Monday 6 December. Year 3-4 will be held at 9:30am and Year 5-6 will be at 10:30am. Both events will be outdoors. Notes will go home if your child is receiving an award.
Please remind your children of the importance of washing their hands and using the hand sanitiser provided in all classrooms when coming to school. It is also important that if they are sick to stay at home and rest until they are well enough to come back to school.
As of this term, all students must be in full Summer school uniform. Students must have black leather or vinyl shoes – not canvas. All students in K-6 must have a school bucket hat – no hat, no play. If your child does not have the correct uniform please send in a note to their classroom teacher. Uniforms can be ordered online through the school uniform shop. Students must present to school in a neat and tidy manner and should have their hair up if it touches their collar. Please keep in mind when getting hair cuts that our school has set protocols (see school policy).
