PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Mrs Jillian Rainger

The last two weeks...

Thank you to our families who filled out the 2021 School Survey. We have received the feedback and appreciate people taking the time. Some noted areas of strength from a family perspective are:

Safety of students

Maintenance of the school

Facilities and access to technology

Response to concerns

Some noted areas for us to improve on include:

Challenging students to improve

Setting targets for student learning

Understanding and reporting on student progress to families

As a leadership team we have begun to discuss how the areas for improvement can be addressed in 2022.

Thank you also to our families for their support of the Holy Trinity P and F Race Day and Art Union. The P and F and our school staff did a great job of raising money for our school which we can put to good use next year. Every ticket sold makes a difference. Congratulations to our students who sold the winning tickets. A block of chocolate came their way today!

The kindergarten transition came to an end last Thursday. It was great to have our new students into our school for six visits. Families are reminded to make their Best Start appointments for the beginning of next year. Year 7 have one more transition next Friday, December 3rd.

Classes for 2022

In K-6 we will be having year groups rather than stage classes as our numbers now fit better into this alignment and we also received extra funding from the CSO Armidale. There will be two classes for each year group except for Year 6 where there will be 3. We are currently finalising our teachers for the classes. We will be welcoming a new member of staff in the primary - Mrs Chloe Smith who is moving to Inverell from Sydney.

In the Secondary we will be having two classes per year group except for Year 8 which will be three classes. Staff will be announced in Week 10's newsletter.
