It is important to stay active and healthy during these times. It is recommended that students participate in 30 minutes of physical activity each day. This could include jogging, running, skipping or practicing ball skills. We have included some links with additional activities and Mrs Travis' workouts from home. (Parent Tip - the workouts can be repeated and your child can choose and decide how many repetitions of an exercise they do) . Children and parents can actively get involved and exercise together.

Our learning for this week is to research (ricerca) and find (trova) information about cities and landmarks of Italy. Last week you were introduced to landmarks and cities of Italy to familiarise yourself with the names and places. You were being knowledgeable. This week you will be sharing and communicating your research through simple phrases. Watch the youtube clip below and find out some facts about Italy and its cities.
Use the powerpoint lesson to guide you through using phrases in Italian to give some factual information.
Performing Arts - Thursday
WEEK 3- MONOLOGUES
For today's lesson you'll need the 'Character Profile' work that you did last lesson (here’s a reminder…)
You'll also need paper or a notebook and pencils (grey lead and coloured).
Task 1: Now that you’ve chosen your own inanimate object, look back at your ‘Character Profile Template’ sheet. Is there anything that you would like to add or change? Make any final changes that you want to, in order to lock in decisions about the character that you are creating.
Task 2: Design 2 contrasting (different) costumes for your character.
You can either draw these or find images on the internet that match the “look” you would want your character to wear. Stick your ideas into your work book or on to A4 paper
Add some notes to your design, explaining why you have chosen a particular idea, mood, or colour.
For example:
Colours: I've used red to show that my character is strong and courageous; I've used white to show that my character is very innocent and peaceful.
Materials: I have used velvet to show that my character is very regal/ royal; I have used a stretchy material because my character has to move quickly.
You could also explain why you have chosen a particular symbol or pattern if this applies to your design.
Don’t worry too much if you can’t explain every aspect of your design, just try to explain some of your choices.
(See the sheet below to help you with your design sheet)
