School Photos - new tentative dates

Due to the current restrictions and the requirement for social distancing, school photos were cancelled from the original date at the start of Term 3, and a new tentative date has been given.

Please note in your diaries that this is the new planned date but clearly a lot depends on what measures are in place at the time of the photographs.

Busselton Campus: Tuesday - 15th September.

Dunsborough Campus: Wednesday - 16th September.

Uniform Fitting Centre

The uniform fitting centres are open at both campuses for your convenience.

For those families that are still self-isolating, a reminder that the Busselton uniform fitment centre opens at 8:15am and closes at 4pm, so it's available outside of school hours.

Distancing rules still apply for any family wanting to use the uniform fitment centre.  Only one family may utilise the fitment centre at a time.

Uniform Exchange Process

Don't forget the Uniform Exchange process!  If you try to avoid wrong items being purchased you can prevent incurring additional costs (postage).

If you order an incorrectly sized item or the wrong item altogether, parents will need to complete the Exchange Form available on the College website and return directly to Perm-A-Pleat (purchaser's expense).

Please check our website for more information on uniform exchange policy.

Lost a Slow Cooker?

Sometime last year this slow cooker made its way to the staffroom, with no apparent owner.

If you have wondered where yours had gone, please drop past the admin to reacquaint yourself with the missing piece of equipment.

Fundraising is Go!

It may seem pointless to have an Entertainment Book at this point in time, but did you know that many of the restaurants and cafes included also have take-away options where you can use your vouchers.

If you are looking at a gift idea that will be ready to go now that the restrictions are starting to ease, then maybe the Entertainment Book is for you.

Order now and some added bonus items are included.

Uniform Updates

As advised to our families, a period of grace was applied to having correct uniforms for the first two weeks of term.  This was due to supply issues and and understanding that the COVID-19 situation put families under pressure to find items on short notice.

Those two weeks have now passed, and we kindly remind parents of the need to have uniform items adhering to our expectations and policies.  We particularly draw attention to the need for black lace-up shoes for the Year 3 (and up) students, as we have noted that is an area where there have been clear signs of deviation.   Also, a reminder that the girls can wear tights or socks - but not both.  Leggings are not part of the uniform and need to be replaced with tights if students want additional leg coverage.

Thank you for your help in this regard.

Junior Landcare Grant

We’ve been successful with our application for a Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant for our project at the Dunsborough Campus!

Cornerstone is one of 617 primary schools and early learning centres throughout Australia receiving a Woolworths Junior Landcare grant to help grow our next generation of environmental champions.

The grants are being funded with money made from the sale of the Woolworths recyclable Bag for good™ which was launched in 2018 when the supermarket stopped using single-use plastic bags.

The children and teachers are looking forward to working and learning from this project and we’ll keep you updated on the results.

Bay Okay and Geocatch partnership

In addition to the Woolworths Landcare Grant, we also wish to thank Bay Okay Waterwise project and GeoCatch for their part in the project as well.  The installation of the garden will commence in late May or early June, and we will keep you updated with photographs as the project unfolds.

We are so grateful for the partnership of these organisations in developing this portion of the Dunsborough campus.
