The Principal's Pen

The Principal's Pen

It has been encouraging to see the excitement in the students returning to school this term. The stories coming back from teachers in the classes tell of students who are enthusiastic about getting back into their learning as well as being back with their friends again. We are still supporting a small number of students who are remote learning for different reasons and that number is decreasing daily. This week we will be reviewing our approach to curriculum delivery and I will be communicating with families on Friday how we will be moving forward. There is lots of planning going on in the College, especially as there continues to be lessening restrictions from the government. Please be assured that we are maintaining our heightened approach to hygiene for the safety of our students.

In this issue of the newsletter there are lots of examples of the great things that have been happening here at the College. One thing that this period of isolation and remote learning has done is to shift the learning into the home. This has highlighted to everyone in our community that, while these are some of the visible aspects of life at the College, there is a whole lot more that goes into learning at Cornerstone.

We’re glad to be welcoming our community back.
