Principal Post

From the Principal. . .

Dear Families,

Happy Easter! I hope that you have all had a wonderful break from school routine and are feeling re-energised and ready for another productive term here at St John Vianney's.  We were so blessed to have such beautiful weather across this past fortnight.  Certainly I hope that you were able to spend some valuable time with family and friends amongst all the Easter Festivities.  To those celebrating Easter this week we hope it is a special and holy time for you all.

We particularly remember all our Sri Lankan families within our community and those across the world as they grieve after the tragedies in their homeland on Easter Sunday. You and your extended families are all in our prayers and  in our hearts.  May we all continue to pray for and model peace and love within our world.

Easter Service

To commemorate our Easter; the Risen and triumphant Lord who brings hope to us all,  we invite everyone to a prayer service this Friday at 11:45am in the church.  May we be open to recognising the Risen Lord amongst us within our families, within our community and those most needing our care and compassion.

Anzac Day

To commemorate Anzac Day the students  gathered  today  for a short service.  It is an important time for our students and community members to reflect on the  sacrifice of so many to allow us the freedoms of today. May we aspire to be a people of peace.  We hope that tomorrow all people will spend a moment of remembrance for the men and women  who have served and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace.

Welcome

We welcome our new students and their families who began here this week. Kevin, Hollie, Nethvin, and Nethma. May their time at St John Vianney's be most enjoyable, full of learning and support.  May they and their families develop a strong sense of belonging to our community.

Car Parking

As we begin our term a heartfelt reminder to all families to please be patient and obey all parking signs and speed limits both within and around our school. We need to ensure all members of the community are safe! Please  be mindful and considerate of all neighbours. Thank you

Open Days & Enrolment (2020)

Thank you to all existing families who have another child beginning next year and have returned their enrolment forms. If you have not done so, I  ask that this be done as a matter of priority.

This assists us in planning and knowing how many enrolment places we can offer to new families.

We have another Open Day next Monday 29th April and also one on Friday May 3rd - 9am & 10am Tours.
