Principal's Report

Hello everyone,

Here are some items to look at so you are informed about significant improvement efforts in the College.

The first graphic is of an Effective Learning Cycle. It details the features of a great lesson. Please expect this general approach five times each day. It focuses on students getting quickly to work, a decrease in teacher talk to the whole class, an increase in feedback to individuals, and student opportunity to have another go at the work in the light of that feedback.

This Worthwhile Lesson poster is in each classroom in the College. It’s a plain language statement of what to expect. When you ask a student ‘Did you have five good lessons today?, this is the criteria you can both use.

Here are the House Leaders, Captains and staff for our six Houses. The vertical model of care will increase community and care in the College. I thank each student and staff member for their work in this area. Please check your House to see the team.

All the best as we enter the second half of Term 1, continuing our Lenten season preparation for Easter, the pinnacle of our Church year.
