Gibbon Swing Play Equipment 

There was much excitement in the playground on Monday as the Gibbon Swing was officially opened for students to start using! 

Student input was gathered, and a list of criteria developed to assist with identifying suitable pieces of play equipment. Students identified they would like play equipment that: 

• Involved climbing and swinging
• Did not stand too tall
• Lots of students can use it at the same time
• Suitable for all year levels

A short list of three different types of play equipment was identified. All students had the opportunity to vote on their preferred piece of play equipment with the majority of students voting for the Gibbon Swing. 

The play equipment has been funded by the money raised from the 2021 Lapathon.
