year 7 camp

Even the weather came to Year 7 camp this year – the sun burst through the clouds when we arrived at Lady Northcote and it stayed out as 140 students got busy with a variety of activities including raft building,  archery and mountain biking!

Students forged new friendships, discovered new skills, and worked as hard as they played - helping with set up and clean up before and after meal times.

Well done to all the Year 7 students on camp. They  all demonstrated fabulous teamwork, personal responsibility and great persistence as they strived to attain both individual and team goals.

Best of all, they  showed  great respect for each other, staff, instructors and for the environment .  Year 7 students– you all rock!

The activities at height were really challenging! I went on the giant swing - I thought I wasn’t going to do it because I’m afraid of heights. My stomach flipped and I felt sick, but afterwards I felt really proud that I had given it a go.

Raft building was the most surprising activity. I don’t think anyone expected to have to build their own raft!  Once we but using it to get around the dam was incredible - whether you managed to get around, or even on to the raft without it falling apart.
