REMINDER

End of term finish - 2:00pm

Power Community Youth Program

Our Year 4/5 and Year 6 Stillwell classes have the wonderful opportunity to be a part of this program in Term 2. The Port Power reps will also do a short presentation at our Assembly on Friday 26th May at 9am.

We hope you may be able to join us at the Assembly.

Class Camps and Excursions 2023

We have planned many exciting opportunities for our children in 2023! Our teachers have been working hard to plan and organise a variety of camps and excursions that will offer our students real-life experiences to connect with their classroom learning.

We understand that times are tough for everyone, and we're committed to making these experiences as accessible as we can to all families. We're proud to say that we're subsidising the costs of these trips, and we're grateful to the Governing Council Fundraising Committee for contributing $5000 towards subsidy of these experiences.

If you're concerned about the costs, please don't hesitate to reach out to Tracy in the Finance Office to discuss setting up a payment plan. And of course, if you have any questions, please speak with your child's classroom teacher.

We're looking forward to a fantastic year full of memorable experiences for our students!

School Name Change and Logo update

Last year we surveyed the school community around the suggestion of a school name change coinciding with our 50th Birthday. Of those that responded 89% were in favour.

We will be moving forward shortly to seek feedback from our school community regarding possible name options and seeking your vote! Keep an eye out for emails and further information in the newsletter.

School Logo update – some of our students designed some options for new logos. When we have locked down the name change we will employ a graphic designer to bring our student design options to life and have our student vote on the new logo. Again we will keep you informed as these exciting changes move forward.

SCHOOL ARRIVAL TIME

Students are not permitted to be at school before 8.20am without adult supervision. We do not have staff on duty until 8.30am. If you need to drop your child early, please organise for them to attend OSHC. Thanks for your support with this.
