Happy Easter - Jesus is Alive!

Our Junior Primary students had a visit from our good friend Harold, in their special Easter Chapel service this week. Harold is a puppet that has been popping up (literally) from time to time since remote Chapel services in 2020. He loves to learn about Jesus with us in Chapel, on Tuesday we learnt about the wonderful news of Easter - that Jesus is alive! 

Miss Smit read us a book about this, called “Mary and the Gardener” – a story about when Mary Magdalene first heard this news (from Jesus himself) and ran to tell the disciples. Each of our Junior Primary Students received a copy of this book to keep, with thanks to the generosity of the Bible Society Australia. We then celebrated by singing together “1,2,3 Jesus is Alive!” 

Our hope and prayer is that you and your families have a wonderful Easter. In the midst of the chocolate and bunnies, may you take some time to reflect upon the great love shown to us in Jesus’ death for us on Good Friday, and to celebrate the wonderful news that “Jesus is Alive” on Easter Sunday.
