WPS Community Children’s Garden

HUGE THANKS to the 43 children who gave up their lunch time on the Monday of the last week of term 1 to help prepare for the School garden produce stall. There was a lot of digging potatoes, parsnips and red fingers picking berries (only a few got eaten along the way – you’ve got to taste test the product you’re selling, right?? 😉)

Massive thanks also to volunteers Kylie, Tarni, Kelly, Tessa and Caleb for helping on the day and all the folk who arranged the comms. Without all of you, events such as this could not happen.

Great team effort WPS Garden Club! 😊

So far we have raised $165 with many more IOUs still to be handed into the Office. Thanks everyone who purchased goodies. I hope they were delicious, and your children delighted in telling you stories of their time in garden while you munched away. As the School veggie garden is run by volunteers, donations are always welcome and all money raised goes straight back into providing an educational and fun garden space for our children.
