Last year I registered for “Vic Kids Eat Well. ”It is a movement supported by the Victorian Government and is delivered by Cancer Council Victoria in partnership with Nutrition Australia.
I sought the guidance of the Health Promotion Coordinator in Macedon Ranges as I wanted to ensure that the canteen was offering healthy choices. A dietician reviewed our menu items, pricing, displays, promotions, food preparation & handling, frequency & contents of special lunch packs and decision not to sell certain items. I’m so proud to announce that Woodend Primary has been commended for great work and has been invited to join this movement.
