Learning Centre One

Welcome back to a new and short term, we hope you all had an amazing and relaxing break. We can't wait to see what the term will hold!

The students have settled in extremely well into their routines and expectations. To kick off the term students participated in a language experience where they made their own Anzac biscuits. 

Some friendly reminders:

  • 12th May - Mothers Day Stall
  • 19th May - Whole School Athletics Day
  • Book bags to be brought in every Monday and returned with a decodable book and Golden words on a Tuesday 
  • As the colder weather starts to approach us, could you please make sure that you label their clothing with their full name. So if it does get lost it will return back to its owner

Learning Centre Two

Welcome back to our LC2 families as we begin Term 2. This week, students and teachers reflected on the sacrifices made by the men and women who have served and currently serve our country. They read a book based on the song "I was only Nineteen' by Redgum and responded to this text in various ways.

 

It is only a short term that is ahead of us but it is sure to be a busy time. Students are about to start training for the Winter Lightning Prem sports day this in Week 6 and are looking forward to both the excitement and challenges this experience will bring.

It’s great to be back! Students have settled in well and straight back into work.

 

If you are at school, remember to check out the veggie patch for our new additions… The Scarecrows each learning group made last term are in their new home. 

 

Fairy Tales all around, we will be reading and watching different fairy tales, looking at the characters, setting and plot. We are so excited to be going on an excursion to Fairy Park to learn more about fairy tales. 

 

We are looking forward to a fun-filled term!

Learning Centre Four

 

Welcome back to, what will once again be, a very busy term! Our Year 3/4 students have settled back into the routine of the school day incredibly well. 

 

To commemorate ANZAC Day, students have been reading stories about the topic, including ANZAC Biscuits by Phil Cummings. Students then had the experience of making, and eating, ANZAC biscuits!

 

 

In Religion, students have been learning about the story Road to Emmaus. This resurrection account is a great lead into our learning about Eucharist.

  • 9th & 10th May - Specialists will be on the Tuesday of Week 3, instead of Wednesday, due to a STEM Incursion on the Wednesday. 
  • 12th May - Mothers Day Stall

  • 2nd June - Whole School Mass at 2pm
