Athletics Day 2023

The TSC Athletics Carnival was held on Thursday 4th May at the VU Athletics Track in Hoppers Crossing. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed a rain free day of competition and fun. Students came dressed in house colours or fancy dress adding to the atmosphere. A range of athletics events were on offer including running, discus, shotput, long jump, high jump and triple jump. Participation was open to all students who had signed up and it was great to see so many having a go. We had some outstanding results from individual events and overall age group champion was awarded to the highest point winner from each age group.

The age group champions were:

• Logologomalo Toomalatai (Penrose) U16 Male
• Hevani Loloa (Chirnside) U16 Female
• Alex Nguyen (Chirnside) U17 Male
• Anyieth Chiengkou (Penrose) U17 Female
• Aditya Barot (Barak) U18 Male
• Tia Galuva’a (Penrose) U18 Female
• Meet Shah (Chirnside) U19 Male
• Molia Nili (Barak) U19 Female

Congratulations to these students for their outstanding efforts on the day competing in and being successful in multiple events.

All students who competed from 1st through to last contributed points towards their house totals. The final points tally saw Penrose out on top as the House Champions for 2023.

1st Place: PENROSE           574 points

2nd Place: BARAK               489 points

3rd Place: CHIRNSIDE       483 points

4th Place: GILLARD            294 point

Special thanks to all of the staff at TSC for making the day a great success. A team effort is involved in planning, set-up, supervision, running the events, recording results and pack-up. Without the dedicated staff at TSC these events would not possible, your efforts are appreciated.
