Year 12 VTAC applications - What's next?
Congratulations to the Year 12 students on completing their applications for further study for next year. But what happens now?
IMPORTANT DATES …..
- ATAR AND RESULTS: 7 am Friday 14th December 2018
- Change of Preference: Friday 14th – Wednesday 19th December
- OFFERS: Wednesday 16th January
CHANGE OF PREFERENCE (COP)
On December 14th, Year 12 students will receive their ATARS and VTAC will be open for 5 days for anyone wanting to change preferences for Universities or TAFE.
During this period (14th – 19th December), many tertiary providers open their doors to have a “mini open Day” for students to see facilities and speak with selection officers regarding different coursers. This is important for students who are needing to change their preferences due to their achieved atar or because they have simply changed their minds.
This is highly recommended. Research shows that students who do not make informed decisions regarding which course they are entering into and where they are undertaking it, have a very low retention rate
Please find attached a list of dates and times for Change of Preference.
A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER ….
1. Remember to do the requirements outlined in the selection criteria:
- Personal statement
- Pre Selection kits
- Supplementary forms
- Registering for an audition
NO requirement = NO consideration
2. Remember to pay – ($36)
Unpaid applications will not be processed
3. Remember you will need a Tax File Number to enrol into your course. Don’t leave it to the last minute – you may not receive it in time.
I will be available at the College from Friday 14th – Wednesday 19th December to assist students who are wanting or needing to change their preferences. Make an appointment but be prepared to wait.
