Year 7 Rowing Competition

On Monday our Year 7 students were invited to compete in the annual rowing machine competition. Students raced each other over 200 metres, with each machine plugged into the computer for all to see the race unfold on the big screen. Congratulations to Niamh McCleary and Nathan Gunasekera taking out the fastest girl and boy categories, winning themselves $30 iTunes gift cards.

Year 7 Learn to Row 2018

The John XXIII College Rowing club invites all Year 7 students to take part in the 2018 Year 7 Learn to Row program. Running from Weeks 2-7 during Term 4 on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons from 3:30- 5:30pm.

All students will learn the fundamentals of the rowing stroke, along with what it means to be a part of the ultimate team sport and a member of the John XXIII College Rowing family.

For those who are interested, please complete the attached form and either return via email or hardcopy by Friday 21 September. As each day is capped at 30 students, please select your day preference carefully and hurry spots are filling up fast.

Please note that buses will take students to and from the College rowing shed.
