Year 12
Best wishes to our Year 12 class of 2017 as they undergo their HSC examinations. Opportunities and information still continues to arrive. Today, yet another gap year opportunity has arrived in my emails. Details have been emailed to Year 12 and placed on the McCarthy Careers Facebook page along with other apprenticeships, traineeships, scholarships and more.
Parents play a vital role and are encouraged to keep an eye out for any opportunities which they think may be of interest to their sons and daughters. Here are the links:

Year 11
This is the time of year that some students will consider changing levels within subjects and possibly dropping some subjects or taking up Extension 2 options in English and Maths. Obviously gaining careers advice and advice from teachers in very important so that the best possible pattern of study is determined for each student. Not every student needs to make changes or wants to make changes.
Year 10
Students who wish to leave school at the end of the year for employment such as apprenticeships and traineeships and/or studies at TAFE are advised to make an appointment to speak to me or visit the Careers Adviser's Office on Mondays or Fridays at lunchtime.
Work Experience
Congratulations to all the students who completed Work Experience organised through the school during the recent holidays. They spent time with a wide variety of employers and it is has been a positive experience in helping them make future career choices.
