Safety Update

In Term 4 it is timely to remember that bushfires are a natural and regularly occurring event in Australia and they have the potential to create life threatening hazards. McCarthy Catholic College is situated adjacent to bushfire prone land and as such, is committed to providing a safe environment for all, by ensuring that we have a Bushfire Plan.  Evacuation procedures, should they be required, would be carried out in accordance with our Evacuation Policy.

Evacuations due to bushfires in NSW are coordinated by NSW Police with assistance from NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW Fire and Rescue. Up to date information regarding fires can be obtained from  www.rfs.nsw.gov.au or the Bushfire Information Line 1800679 737.
