Arts Centre Excursion
Students from year 11 Drama and year 9 Production joined forces on an exciting trip to the the Arts Centre Melbourne to view an exciting production titled 'Laser Beak Man'.
"Laser Beak man is a new and imaginative production, that tells its story through the amazing art of puppetry. This colourful, creative and imaginative piece was inspired by the famous work of Tim Sharpe who is an autistic artist from Australia. The story explores friendship, betrayal, justice and injustice whilst also having humour that the whole family can enjoy. This play is accompanied by the wonderful music by Sam Cromack of Ball Park Music as well as having the puppets created by Dead Puppet’s Society...
This play created an imaginative environment that presented itself with many laughs that the audience were able to connect too. From having the bogan barbie character, evil mastermind to black sheep. The play delved into the relationships between friendships and even enemies. With the help of interactive settings, props and music this play was a journey of hardships and victories as well as being filled with humour that everyone will be able to have a laugh at. To me Laser Beak Man showed us all a bit of what life can be like and the play beautifully went hand in hand with that."

Their class performances will be shown to year 7 and 8 audiences later this term. Good luck year 8s!
Year 10 Visual Communication Design
