2019 Sport Thanks
It’s been a super-ACTIVE year for our students & supportive parents with many sporting events and recreational activities over the year!
Highlights include our Celebration Week Kaboom Sports extravaganza, Swim team efforts at Trials, Districts & Division level, Tennis reps at Beachside Tennis, our Whole School Athletics Carnival, our Year 3-6’s competing in Inter-House, District, Division & Regional Cross Country, Year 5 & 6 Lightning Premiership Soccer, Netball and Football tournaments, Inter-school Winter Sport netball and football during Term 2, StarFish Learn to Swim programs, HoopTime basketball, Year 3&4 and Year 5&6 Cricket Blast and not to forget; our energised day at MSAC with our Whole School Swimming Carnival this term!
So many great personal and team efforts, good sportsmanship-moments and as always, lots of St. Finbar’s team spirit!

TO ALL SPORT PARENT HELPERS
On behalf of all students and staff, we’d like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all our PARENT HELPERS who volunteered their time to help score, time-keep, team-manage, coach, marshal, input scores, measure and help out at our numerous sporting events and carnivals! We are extremely grateful for the amazing support we have from so many of our parents over the year – a sign of a great schooling community!
A HEART-FELT SPECIAL THANK YOU also to many of our out-going Year 6 parents who are moving on from our St. Finbar’s community…… We’ve been so blessed to have such ‘super-helpful’ parents that we’ll certainly miss having on-board at these sporting events! Thank you for all your kind efforts, helpful hints, support and laughs over the years and best wishes for secondary school life and beyond with your children! What fond memories we will always have of each finish-line frenzy moment, measuring mayhems, Team Manager stresses and not to forget the T20 Cricket scoring craziness!
