Shire of Campaspe Active Transport Strategy

The Shire of Campaspe is developing a new Active Transport Strategy.

The Strategy aims to make walking and cycling in Campaspe better for everyone, so we can all live in diverse and thriving communities that are more active.

Some of the ways we might achieve this could include:

  • Prioritising pedestrians in the centre of town
  • Requiring all new developments to have good-quality footpaths
  • Encouraging kids to walk and ride to school
  • Providing incentives for workplaces to get people cycling
  • Planting more trees and providing more rest points
  • Slowing traffic speeds
  • Building major cycling corridors

We want to hear your thoughts, experiences and feedback to build on our understanding of the issues and help us make Campaspe a great place to walk and cycle.

Using the map at this link: http://activecampaspe.crowdspot.com.au/page/welcome, please identify:

  • ‘Issue Spots’ – where you think there is a problem
  • ‘Like Spots’ – where you think there is a great place to walk and/or cycle

Please also tell us what you like (or dislike) about these spots in the comments section.

You can also get involved by sending your thoughts, ideas, submissions and feedback to activecampaspe@gta.com.au or speaking with us at a community drop-in session in late August 2018 – dates and details to be provided shortly.

Thanks for your involvement!
