Senior English

Over the past 2 weeks, The senior English classes have been visited by theatre groups performing and analysing their set texts for the term. The Year 10 Advanced English classes were visited by Bell Shakespeare to workshop and act out key scenes from Othello. Both the year 11's and year 12's were visited by Eagles Nest Theatre Company. The year 11's discussed the themes and nature of events in Twelve Angry Men and Montana 1948, while the year 12's focused on perspective and comparisons between Black Diggers and The Longest Memory. These were excellent opportunities for the students to experience texts in their intended setting, and speak to professional actors about how they approach the themes and emotions present in the stories.
