Drama Dialogue

VCE Drama Ensemble

Each year senior DSC Drama students create and present a VCE Drama Ensemble performance as part of Unit 1 and 3 Drama.

This is a great opportunity for students to develop and show off their skills and abilities. They are required to research and develop a 20 – 25 minute piece in response to a particular theme or stimulus, utilising conventions from various drama styles.

This year students will be creating and presenting work on the theme of ‘Crime and Punishment’. They will recreate moments of crime and punishment through the ages, explore the economic and social impact of crime and attempt to discover how we might create a safer, happier future for all from learning from the past.

The students began work on this topic by experimenting with various theatre styles such as Epic Theatre and Poor Theatre.

The students will continue developing their work over the semester and look forward to presenting their final performances to the school community in the Performance Centre next term!
