Patterson River House Swimming Carnival

On Tuesday, 12th February the College House Swimming Carnival was held in not so perfect weather conditions at the Pines Pool in Frankston. Despite the wintery conditions, some very brave students competed in a number of events and many students enthusiastically dressed up in House colours ready to cheer their house members on.

Thank you to all staff and students that helped out on the day and competed in events. Congratulations to all participants in Freeman who finished in first place at the end of the day.

Coast Guard ‘Around the River Fun Run’ – Sunday 24th February 2019

Patterson River Secondary College was strongly represented by 91 staff and students donning the ‘Eel’ at the recent Patterson River Coast Guard Fun Run. Competitors could choose to compete in either the 6km run or walk, or the 12km run. We had 5, 12km runners and 86, 6km runners including 9 staff.

We were blessed with perfect conditions for runners and walkers alike and our results didn’t disappoint.

For some, this was a first time event and for others, an opportunity to better their times from last year.

We really appreciate the parents/guardians, students and staffs' willingness to give up their time on the weekend to partake in an event that supports our local community and highlights what amazing athletes we have within our College.

We are thrilled to be able to announce that we WON the 12km team event and won the Perpetual School Trophy.

Our individual results were also incredible.

U17 Males 6km run – 2nd place:  ADEN GASPERINO; 00:24:30

U17 Females 6km run – 2nd Place: HAYLEY PONCHARD; 00:30:19

U17 Females 6km run – 3rd place: OLIVIA PONCHARD; 00:30:37

U17 Males 12km run – 3rd place: SHANNON DELANEY; 00:58:58

In the 6km event, we had 16 runners finish in the top 20 for the Under 17 Female age group and again in the 6km event, we had 14 runners finish in the top 20 for the Under 17 Male age group.
