We welcome two new team members to our team for 2019. They are Benifer Billimoria and Emily Champness.  Benifer will be with us four days per week and Emily two days. Both members are well qualified and have already made a positive impact upon the College environment.

Safe Minds for Parents

Headspace have been running Safe Minds for students and teachers for a number of years and a large number of teaching staff at the college have already been trained. We are now embarking on offering the program to parents. Safe Minds is a program designed to assist in the early intervention with students potentially dealing with mental health issues.

Our first introductory session will be at 9am until 10am on the 19th of March. It is also a great opportunity to enjoy a coffee, a light morning tea and meet members of the Well Being team.

This will be followed by two sessions on Safe Minds for Parents on the 7th of May and the 21st of May. Both will run from 9am until 10am with coffee and a light morning tea.

Great Expectations Year 10 Mentoring

The first breakfast for the Great Expectations Mentoring Program was held on the 15th of February and was very well attended by both students, parents and teachers. Leigh O'Brien spoke on the rationale behind the program and Jack Weinmann presented what he experienced as being one of the first to go through this program.

The Cowboy Cadetship camps will be beginning in March as will some challenge activities. Students will also have met with their mentors by now.
