Music Domain Update

It’s been a busy year so far in the Music Domain. 

In year 7-8 music classes students have been learning about elements of music by playing Guitar, Keyboard, Ukulele, Drums and Bass. Year 9 and 10 students have created and performed songs on 'Bandlab' as well as in bands and have learnt how to setup sound equipment for performances and recording. 

Our VCE Music Performance students have been busy brushing up on their music theory and aural skills while also rehearsing and preparing pieces for their end of year performance exams.

In Instrumental Music, students have been involved in around twenty performances so far this year, ranging from concerts, assemblies and events out in the community. We have also had students participate in the NEVR Beechworth music camp, Orchestra Victoria’s “On the mOVe” workshops and had Triple J and APRA present the Songmakers workshops, which resulted in three fantastic songs. 

There’s still a number of concerts and events coming up so it’s never too late to join the Instrumental Music Program!
