Naidoc Day @ Kildare
NAIDOC 2022 | Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!
As part of our College, NAIDOC was celebrated on the 27th of July. Year 8 English classes took part in presentations with Mr Jason Jolley who spoke in relation to our Term 3 unit 'Perspectives of Australia'.
Mr Jolley covered topics such as vocabulary, Connection to Land, Welcome to Country and Acknowledgement of Country, pre and post-contact, impacts and significance of storytelling in Indigenous Australian Culture.
Year 7 students enjoyed Indigenous cultural activities in the afternoon, including dance and art.
