Junior School students have enjoyed making Apple Turnovers. Why not have a go at home using our trusty recipe below!
1-2 Cooking - Apple Turnovers
Ingredients:
- Stewed apples
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Brown sugar
- Puff pastry
- Ice-cream
Step 1. Mix stewed apples with cinnamon and nutmeg
Step 2. Cut puff pastry into 4 squares
Step 3. Put 2 tablespoons of apple mix on a pastry square
Step 4. Fold pasty into a triangle and press down sides with fork
Step 5. Cook in oven for 10-15 minutes on 200ºC or until golden brown
Step 6. Take out of oven and cool down
Step 7. Sprinkle with brown sugar and serve with ice-cream!
In the Garden
The Foundation students planted a broad bean seed in a jar with wet paper towel. Their seeds have now started to grow roots and some have started to sprout! I wonder how big they will be? I wonder if they are magic beans?
