YEAR 8

Last term Sarah Ivey, Lexi Whatley and Ayisha Balogun competed in the regional heats of a public speaking competition hosted by the Debating Association Victoria at Maribyrnong College.

The competition required them to deliver a 5 minute prepared speech and two 3 minute speeches, where they were given a topic 30 minutes before having to deliver the speech.

All three students did a fantastic job representing themselves and the college and they all scored very well. In fantastic news Ayisha came second, out of roughly 40 competitors, and will progress through to the semi-finals later this term.
