EFTPOS facilities are available between 8:30am - 12pm daily.
Parents should always come to the school office when visiting the school. All visitors must sign in and wear a clearly visible visitor's pass whilst on the school grounds.
Communication with your child's classroom teacher can be done by contacting the school office. The teacher will then contact you at their earliest availability.
Extended Leave
Families are encouraged to travel during the school holidays. If travel during the school term is necessary you will need to complete An Application for Extended Leave Form prior to your travel dates. A copy of your itinerary along with the completed application form will be submitted to the Principal for approval.
Absences
A note on the day of the students return explaining the reason for the absence should be given to the classroom teacher. You must provide a written explanation within 7 days for the absence.
Late arrival to school
Students are expected to be at school and ready to learn by 9am. If for any reason a student is late they must go to the school office to receive a late note before going to their classroom. The late note is to be given to the classroom teacher on entering the classroom.
Early Leave
If you require your child to leave early for any reason, please go to the school office to receive an early leavers note prior to going to pick up your child from the classroom. The classroom teacher will require the early leavers note before your child may leave the classroom.
Uniform Shop
Opening Hours: Tuesday 8:30am-12pm, Wednesday 8:30am-12pm weekly.
Parents may order uniforms online or by collecting an order form from the school office.
Lost Property
Please label all of your child's school property. Lost property is located outside the computer lab near the staffroom.
Medication
If your child is required to have medication on a daily basis or as a one off due to illness parents must come to the office to complete an authority form. As soon as the child arrives at school they must hand in their medication to the office staff. Please do not allow your child to carry their medication with them or leave it unattended in their bags.
Car park Safety
The car park is for staff access only. Please do not walk through or park there at any time.
School Newsletter
Our school newsletter (Girraween Gazette) is published fortnightly and is available via the school website. A copy is also provided to parents and families through Seesaw.
