The Students Return to School

Celebrating a Great Re-start!

Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students came together to show their awesome dance moves and have an amazing time at their lunch disco last week.  They earned so many tokens that they filled the token jars! Teachers gave out hundreds of tokens to students showing resilience and being super caring to each other, as we all settled back into our school routines.  We look forward to seeing the next prize!!

After the F-2 Disco the Year 2s worked in pairs to code their own dance party. The students worked through ten levels of block coding to make various characters move to the music.

Year 4 PE

This week our Year 4 students completed a variety of fitness challenges in preparation for Fridays Cross Country run.  The first challenge was a cone scramble, then we played a game of Tic-Tac-Toe and finished off with a whole school relay run.  It may have been exhausting, but hopefully a bit of fun at the same time.

Year 1 & 2 Have Been Busy!

As part of their sustainability topic, the Grade 1/2 students have created grass pot heads out of recycled cups. They also explored the importance of being sustainable with water and only watering our grass pot heads once a day.

They have also been exploring the importance of relaxation and mindfulness. To help stay cool and calm, they made Calming Down bottles out of an old bottle, some oil, water and a sprinkle of glitter.

They also created 'How to wash your hands' booklets to help educate and teach others around us about hygiene.  Grade 1P students got to share their booklets with Foundation A.

Year 6 PE

Our Year 6 students completed some fitness testing this week, to gauge how well we have maintained our fitness over the isolation period.  We completed tasks that measured the different skill related fitness components, including; power, speed, agility, co-ordination, balance and reaction time.  Think we all survived!

Year 2 Thank you Gifts for a Family Member

In Inquiry, the Year 2's reused boxes they brought in from home to make a gift for a family member.  They wrote a letter to go with their gift that included the purpose of the gift, the materials they used and why it is important for the environment to reuse items.

Year 3's Thank You Presents

The Year 3's made 'thank you' presents for their parents for looking after them over the remote learning period.

A few video's of how fantastic they look:
