Senior School Learning

Health and Well-Being

This term in PE, Grade 3/4 Students have been having some fun with target games. A target game is a game where the participant sends an object towards a target whilst avoiding obstacles in the way. We have been enjoying creating some mini golf courses with things we have at home! No need for anything fancy. You don’t even need a putter and golf ball! Students used many things as their putter such as a roll of wrapping paper. We hope you enjoy some of the mini golf holes that were created by 3/4 students.

Neo Pop Art

The senior school students got to learn about the Neo Pop Artist Romero Britto. They viewed some of his artistic designs and patterns and put their own creative style in their pieces of work.

Sharing via Google Meet

3/4 teachers have been very impressed with the amount of students attending their google meet catch ups with their teachers and friends. This has been a great way for us all to catch up and enjoy playing some fun games together. Students have sharing their birthday events with us, camping stories, outdoor activities and some with new pets. We have enjoyed hearing what students have been up to.

Keep up the great remote learning and we can not wait to be back in out classes on 9th of June.

Science

Term 2 has students exploring our amazing solar system, and where we fit within in it. 4/5/6’s are currently planning and creating a scale model of the solar system using the resources available at home. Can’t wait to see the finished products next week!

It is light during the day and dark at night, have you ever wondered why? This is the question the 3/4’s are seeking to understand in Term 2. They’ve been on the hunt for shadows to explain how the Sun and the Earth interact with each other.
