Positive Behaviour for Learning

Positive Behaviour for Learning
This week, Term 2 Week 8, our focus in the playground is:
Top Playground - Keep your hands and feet to yourself
Middle Playground - Set agreed rules before playing
Bottom Playground - Follow adult instructions
These expectations are displayed on sandwich boards in the three playgrounds for adults and students to view as reminders.
Highlights
All children have been trying hard to remember how to be respectful by following teacher instructions, making polite and considerate comments and looking after property whether it be their own, someone else's or the schools.
Students have been working hard to be responsible by remembering to move as soon as the music starts playing at the end of a break so they have time to go to the toilet and line up ready for class by the time the music has finished.
Students have been using the soap appropriately in the toilets and washing their hands for twenty seconds.
In the playground, children have been wearing their hats and if they don't have one they have been going to the shade shelter so they are protected from the harsh sun.
Telling the truth has been our focus too where students are asked to be honest and reflect on their effort and learning to make improvements. No-one is perfect and we all make mistakes; learning from them will only make us better children and adults!
