All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.
Good afternoon families,
We had a wonderful day on Tuesday with our guest speaker Andrew Fuller. Andrew is a Clinical Psychologist who lectures in child, adolescent and family psychology and consults to communities and school about the promotion of resilience and specialising in the wellbeing of young people and their families. He is also an author of a number of books. He spoke to the staff about his latest research in Metacognition and he provided valuable insights into how and why certain behaviours occur and their implications in an educational setting.
Athletic's Carnival- Y3-6
Thank you to all the parents who helped out at the Athletics Carnival on Wednesday. It was a very successful day and created great community spirit. Thank you to Mr Andrew for organising the day and to all our students who participated so well and encouraged each other to do their best.
Working Bee
This Saturday's working bee has been cancelled due to the low number of parents who indicated they could attend. We will reschedule another one for early next term.
Celebration of Learning Thursday 22 June 2.30pm - 4 pm
Students will be showing their learning to their parents next Thursday from 2.30pm - 4pm. The garden will also be open for parents to visit and see the winter crops and our animals.
All parents, grandparents and visitors are most welcome to visit the classrooms.

Lightning Premiership
Today the Year 6 students competed in the Lightning Premiership for winter sports.
They were all very competitive and represented St Louis' very well. For the results please see the sports page in this newsletter.
