This Week's Updates
Dear Families,
Many students returned from their holiday break with an abundance of energy both learning in the classroom and out on the playground. All year levels seemed to hit the ground running and were really focussed in their learning.
Marathon Club starts back this week
Marathon Club resumes this Wednesday 19 July and will conclude in Week 7 - Wednesday 23 August, the week before our concert production.
Students arrive from at 7.40am for the warm up before setting off for 30 minutes of running/jogging/walking at 7.45am. Breakfast is served at 8.15am.
Please send along the term breakfast payment of $10 with your child, if you haven't already done so.
Please remember that students are required to bring along a bowl and spoon. The menu is cereal with milk and freshly cut fruit.
Katrina Van Vuuren and Belinda Bele coordinate the Marathon Club. You can sign up for a morning duty shift by entering your details in the Operoo form sent out on 21st February, which is still active, or by emailing the office with your available and contact details to forward to Katrina and Belinda.
Parents & Friends Masquerade Ball
What a great night it was! Tim Flintoff and I are still wondering where Nick the magician pulled that folded Ten of Diamonds from.
The most satisfying aspect from my point of view was seeing so many parents socialising together. Our St James school spirit was certainly alive and well on Saturday night.
Thank you to the organising committee of Year Two parents lead by: Kylie, Lisa, Meg and
Natasha.
Congratulations to all raffle and auction item winners. Thank you to Jason, Natalie and Kylie who coordinated the auction.
Lexus Melbourne Cup Tours St James
All families are invited to the assembly in the Reynolds Community Centre this Thursday morning at 9am.
