Principal's Report

Jonathan Rowe

Dear Parents and Carers,

Today, as a school community we celebrate Sacred Heart Day. The actual day was last Friday, 16 June. It is a celebration of our charism and we believe that Jesus' compassionate Heart reveals God's unconditional love for every human being and all creation. Belief in God's unconditional love, which is the remedy for the ills of society, transforms our own hearts and at the same time enables us to participate in the healing of creation. It is also a wonderful way to finish a very busy term!

I am taking leave in Term 3 to be with my ill father, to recharge the batteries and spend time on my personal formation. Mrs. Fiona Mulhall will step into the Acting Principal role and Mr. Danny Franc will take up the position of Acting Deputy Principal in my absence.

Our students have much to be proud of as they have finished their assessments, participated in examinations and extended themselves in the learning and teaching program and the co-curricula life of our College. I am so proud to hear of our students’ achievements whether in class, in their learning, on the sporting field, art or technology arena.

I wish Mrs Steph Burn well in her travels overseas next term and thank all of our fantastic staff for their contribution to the Learning & Teaching, the many sports and excursions this term and semester.

I also thank Naomi Annett for her amazing service to Monivae and the Foundation and wish her all the best with her new adventure.

May you find time for yourself and family during the upcoming break. I look forward to seeing you at the start of Term 4.

Kind regards,

Mr. Jonathan Rowe
