In 1990 teacher Alan Hunter donated a pewter mug the the College to recognise "the educator must unsung".
It has had a rough life, but each week it is handed around to staff members the come and and get the job done without any fuss or fanfare. Over the years I've heard of some stirring speeches the have come with the passing on.
Mr Hawthorne remembers the 'golden years of the College' when the collegiality was at its peak with staff and it was at this unbelievable time that Alan wanted to have a token of regards to be passed around.
Like this week... I had the fantastic experience this week to have had Deputy Mrs Bell come into my PAC class to present it to me. It's rewarding to be acknowledged for your work, the only problem is now is who do I pass it onto as there are so many wonderful people work hard to make this College great and deliver wonderful experiences for our students.
