St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal

An enormous THANK YOU to those who have contributed to the Vinnies Winter Appeal !! Your donations have helped to rebuild lives !!!

Thank you to the Yr 6 Leadership team representatives who spoke to each class in the school, collected the donations and spoke at Assembly about the Winter Appeal and how we, as a school, could help those in our community who need our support.

It’s not too late to continue to give!

From the Vinnies Newsletter….

During winter especially, material donations such as food, warm clothing and blankets are needed.

A few things to keep in mind:

• To uphold the dignity of those receiving goods, please ensure that all food items are not due to expire for at least the next 6 months. All items must be non-perishable and undamaged.

• Similarly, please ensure blankets and warm clothes are in new and clean condition.

THANK YOU FOR PARTNERING WITH US TO CHANGE LIVES!

OLF Staff Spirituality Day

The staff of OLF spent part of their Spirituality Day at the Reconciliation Church at La Perouse. Together we celebrated a beautiful Mass led by Fr Jim as well as developing:

* Some understanding of the centre/ Reconciliation Church itself

* Some deeper insights into Aboriginal spirituality

* A knowledge of the centre's role in social outreach

* An understanding of Social ministry within the community

Our THANK YOU  back to them was to contribute donations, as a staff, to ‘give back’ to the community centre.

We also viewed and listened to a talk on the beautiful Aboriginal Stations of the Cross which were on the walls of the Reconciliation Church.
