It is truly hard to believe that we have reached the end of Term 2 already. I wanted to take the opportunity to congratulate all students on a fantastic term indeed, and sincerely thank the amazing staff here at the College who continually go above and beyond to ensure our students have phenomenal programs and opportunities on offer.
We have around 80 students attending Country Week this year, representing our College in football (boys), hockey (mixed), netball (2 girl teams), basketball (boys and girls) and volleyball (mixed). There has been a huge amount of preparation in the lead up to this year's event, and I'd like to acknowledge the commitment from our students with their training schedules and also thank the staff for the time and effort they have put in. Wishing each of our teams all the very best!
Next term is looking bigger and better than ever with lots on the agenda. I encourage all students (particularly our Year 12s) to take some time to rest and recuperate these holidays - especially given next term is the last for our General Year 12s. I cannot emphasise enough how important attending each and every day is, in order to avoid unnecessary pressure being placed on both students and our staff. Consistent attendance, tracking individual progress and applied effort to complete all practical and theory assessments, is key to finishing off strong your 13+ years of schooling.
Thank you also to the large number of Year 11 parents who tuned in for our information night last week (scholarships, subject selections and North West Tour preparation). We hope this session assisted with your understanding of these important items. Please do not hesitate to contact the College if you ever have any queries.
Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable holiday break and here's hoping we get more of that glorious rain we have been getting of late!
