Year 6 Winter Sports
Year 6 Winter Sport
This year many of our Year 6 students competed in the WESA Winter sports competition, played on Fridays throughout Term 2.
We had several teams competing each week, including soccer, AFL, Danish rounders, Fully Loaded softball and two netball teams. Due to the continued oval works, we played all matches away at various locations.
Wheelers Hill PS competed against other schools in our WESA district- Camelot Rise, Weeden Heights, Albany Rise, Holy Saviour, Mount Waverley Nth, Glen Waverley South & Jells Park Primary Schools.
Students enjoyed the opportunity to develop their physical skills in many different fields, whilst making new friends and competing in a friendly and very successful tournament.
Schools in the WESA district are different sizes, and each has a different number of teams, so there were different teams playing from one week to the next. Note that this situation will change moving forward. The whole Monash Waverley Division is being split up into new more evenly sized districts for 2024.
