CIS SPORT NOMINATIONS CLOSING DATES IN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS
The Closing Date for Nominations for the following Sports for NSW Combined Independent Schools are listed below and it is important to note that NSWCIS has a policy which states that no late nominations will be accepted.
- 3rd February: 17 & Under Girls Water Polo and 16 & Under Boys Cricket; - 5th February: Open Girls Cricket and 17 & Under Boys Softball; - 8th February: Open Boys Cricket; - 9th February: Secondary Boys Baseball; - 12th February: Primary Boys and Girls Basketball.
If parents consider a nomination is warranted, please contact sport@calrossy.nsw.edu.au The teams comprise the best of NSW Independent Schools and so serious applicants only should consider such a trial. Parents should note that trials take place in Sydney and it is a personal responsibility to transport your own child. |

HRIS Tennis
Boys and Girls in Year 5 and 6 who are exceptional Tennis players are invited to attend the HRIS Tennis Selection Day. Students who are successfully selected on this day, will go on to the CIS Selection Trials, to trial for a place in the NSW CIS Team.
Please indicate your child’s willingness and availability to participate by Thursday 4th February to headofjuniorschool@calrossy.nsw.edu.au
HRIS Selection Trial: Friday 12th February, TopSpin Tennis, Broadmeadow, 8:45am – 1pm
CIS Selection Trial: Friday 22nd February
Students are required to make their own way to these events, but do not let this deter you from nominating as we may be able to make alternate arrangements.
Calrossy can nominate two boys and two girls to attend and the HRIS selection day. The selection of the Calrossy students remains with the Calrossy Sports Department. Once nominations are received and students are chosen, no further discussions will be entered into.
HRIS Basketball
HRIS does not hold Basketball selections for Junior School teams, rather schools submit players and their representative history, and a paper selection is made by HRIS.
Boys and Girls in Year 5 or 6 with strong Basketball skills and a representative playing history who would like to trial for the NSW CIS Basketball Team need to email headofjuniorschool@calrossy.nsw.edu.au by Monday 8th February. Students need to be willing and available to trial in Crows Nest, Sydney on Friday 19th February from 8:15am – 1:30pm. Please include your playing and representative history in the email to the Sports Department.

Year 7/8 Netball Trials
Year 7/8 Netball trials will be held this Wednesday (3rd Feb) afternoon BSC oval from 4pm. If unable to attend please email sport@calrossy.nsw.edu.au
